Women are proportionally underrepresented at every level of government, yet when elected, they are more successful at getting funding and passing legislation for their constituents than men.

LGBTQ+ electeds don’t just speak up for their community, but more broadly champion anti-discrimination laws and equal rights in employment, education, and healthcare. When 6.5% of the US population identifies as part of the queer community, it’s time to get those numbers up—for the benefit of us all.

We’ve dealt with jokes from the “adults” most of our lives, but seriously: the youngest voting-age generations now make up 43% of the US population. Let’s stop letting others speak for us, and start speaking up for ourselves.

In an era when authoritarianism is on the rise, institutions are being routed by the super rich, and many leaders are unequipped to fight back, we’re here to take a stand—to help you, the next generation of political leaders, take a stand.

It’s time to take a stand.

We stand against fascism.

As each generation only grows more diverse, we can’t backslide into the mentality that “might makes right,” that any one person knows what’s right for all people. Napoleon can keep all the divine right stuff.

We stand against oligarchy.

There are more than enough resources to ensure everyone has something to eat, to get the healthcare they need, an education that prepares them for the future, for jobs that afford them a roof over their heads. Some billionaire doesn't need another superyacht we don’t even get to party on.

We stand against gerontocracy.

We need leadership who grew up grappling with a generation of economic injustice, unpredictable climate, the inability to afford a home, living paycheck-to-paycheck and in constant fear of losing their job. It’d be a lot better if we could only live in fear of not finding something good to watch on TV.

Democracy is not a given. We need to take a stand, and fight for it.

We’re fighting for equality. Let’s open up the same opportunities for all people who want to make a difference in their communities.

We’re fighting for equity. Let’s provide tools and resources that address the barriers to entry people face trying to access power locked behind closed doors.

We’re fighting for empathy. Let’s lift up the people traditionally sidelined by politics, by understanding each other and helping one another break down those barriers.

We’re fighting for justice. Let’s break down those barriers for good—so future generations always have access to the same knowledge that makes successful politicians today.
